How a small school football team raised $16K with Teamfi

7 tips straight from the Coach who did it

One of the most impressive Teamfi fundraisers from this summer was run by Springport Football.

They raised $16,440, despite having just ~250 kids in their school.

With stats like these, I had to know: did they have any tips on how other coaches can best use Teamfi?

Here’s what one of their coaches had to say:

  • Have your players join the fundraiser in a group setting, like the school media room, library, or classroom

  • Before players start to join, share Teamfi’s simple 5 page player instructions slides

  • When players are entering contacts’ information, instruct them to use the name that the player calls the contact. For example, if your Grandma is Mia, enter the contact name as Mia

  • Don't use multiple contacts across players. For example, let only one player use Pastor Rick. This will maximize your fundraiser

  • Create one player account that’s team-wide, and put alumni contact information in there. For that player account’s photo, take a senior group picture

  • Start your fundraiser on Thursday or Friday, to coincide with typical payday times

  • On days where texts are not being sent out, encourage your players to share on social media (ie Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat)
